For the first time in the last two years, Poland imported a shipment of Iranian oil or petroleum products weighing 19 tons in March 2024.
Although the amount of oil imports of these two countries is not a significant figure, it shows the pressure of Iran’s sanctions on the energy sector of the EU members and the willingness of these countries to ignore the sanctions against Iran.

Statistics Eurostat also show that Georgia, as an observer member of the European Union, exported 544 tons of oil or products in the first quarter of this year. It has imported oil from Iran. Georgia’s oil import from Iran in the first quarter of last year was 974 tons.
According to these statistics, Turkey has also imported oil or oil products from Iran for the first time in the last 4 years. This country has imported 576 tons of oil or oil products from Iran in March this year and 485 tons in April, for a total of 1060 tons. This country last imported a cargo of oil from Iran in August 2020.
