An improvised explosive device exploded on the border of Thailand and Malaysia/18 people were killed and injured
report Mehr News Agency, according to the Straits Times, at least one person died and 18 others were injured after an improvised explosive device planted inside a car exploded outside a building in Banangsata district in southern Thailand.
The explosion occurred on the side of the road in front of the residential building of the Banangsata Police Station, and houses and several cars near the scene were severely damaged due to the blast wave.

According to the authorities, after the arrival of the rescue teams, the body of a woman was found under the rubble, which was unidentifiable. Also, the car in which the bomb was embedded cannot be identified due to the intensity of the explosion and the amount of explosives.
The injured in this incident are 10 civilians and eight police officers who were taken to the hospital. Banangsata is located in the south of the city of “Yala” and borders with the provinces of Kedah and Perak in Malaysia.
