Israeli doctors tortured us/ amputating our legs instead of treating diabetes!
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted by Shahab News website, Mohammad Abu Salmiya, the head of Shafa Hospital in the Gaza Strip, stated that the Zionist occupation forces released him and about 50 other prisoners this morning. Palestinian prisoners in enemy prisons are in a very bad mental and physical condition.
Abu Salmiya stated that the occupying regime amputates the legs of diabetic patients instead of treating them.
He added that the Israeli medical teams attack and beat the detainees in an act contrary to humanitarian laws.
Dr. Abu Salmia pointed out that the Zionists arrested him along with the members of a humanitarian convoy at the Netsarim crossing while he was transporting the wounded to Shafa Hospital.
He emphasized that the Zionist regime put him on trial 4 times without any specific charge being attributed to him.
The head of Shafa Hospital stated that the occupation forces treat Palestinian prisoners like prisoners and even Zionist doctors torture the prisoners.
Mohammed Abu Salmiya said the destruction of Shafa Hospital means the destruction of the health system in Gaza, and this is what the Zionist enemy was looking for.
Abu Salmiya stated that we were subjected to daily torture in the prisons of the Zionist regime, and the occupiers attacked the prisoners’ rooms and cells.
He emphasized that no international organization or institution met us in prison and we were not allowed to meet with a lawyer.
Dr. Abu Salmiya called the statements of the Zionist officials regarding not knowing about his release strange and said that I was released in a completely official way.
He stated that the Zionist occupiers attacked the Palestinian prisoners using police dogs and batons, and the prisoners had nothing but one pill a day for two months. They did not eat.
