The beginning of Russia’s one-month presidency of the Security Council
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency, citing Tass, Russia began its one-month presidency of the UN Security Council on Monday.
Today, Russia will also convene the first meeting of the UN Security Council to approve the agenda of the Security Council for next month.
After this meeting, “Vasily Nebenzia”, the representative of Russia in the United Nations, will hold a press conference.
Discussion on how to create a more just world order and solutions to the Middle East crisis, as well as cooperation between the United Nations, the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the United Nations (CIS) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), are among the important events under the presidency of Russia, which are expected to be discussed in the Security Council by mid-July.
Nebenzia also said that Ukraine’s recent attack on civilian infrastructure in Sevastopol using tactical missiles equipped with cluster warheads will be discussed at the next meeting of the UN Security Council.
