Activation of 15 military centers in Finland for the deployment of American forces

Finland will open 15 of its military facilities for possible use by US forces.

The Finnish Yle network reported: The Parliament of Finland unanimously approved the relevant defense agreement between the countries. This agreement allows the Americans to send their weapons and soldiers to Finland.

For this purpose, Finland has decided to activate a number of its military centers so that they can be deployed there in the event of the arrival of American troops.

Previously, the English newspaper The Telegraph, citing its sources, reported that NATO is preparing a plan to transfer armed forces from the United States to Europe in the event of a war with Russia.

After the war between Ukraine and Russia, Western countries, led by the United States, took measures to expand NATO, one of which was the accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO. The West, fearing the spread of the war to other European countries, agreed to the joining of these two countries.

On May 18, Finland and Sweden applied for NATO membership. However, Ankara blocked their proposal to join this coalition and asked the Northern European countries to declare Kurdish organizations as terrorists and hand over to Turkey those accused of terrorist activities or helping the 2016 coup (in Turkey). give Türkiye also demanded the lifting of the ban on supplying weapons to Ankara.

On June 28, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held talks with Finnish President Sauli Niinisto, Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersen, and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg before the NATO summit hosted by Madrid. In these talks, a memorandum of understanding was reached regarding the joining of Sweden and Finland to NATO, which is supposed to be approved by all member countries of this bloc.

At the beginning of July, the foreign ministers of Finland and Sweden, as well as the ambassadors of 30 NATO member countries, signed the accession protocols of these two countries. Helsinki and Stockholm joined this organization after the ratification of these documents by all NATO member countries.
