During this period, the member countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), including the United States, by abandoning the diplomatic option to establish peace, have contributed to the continuation of this war-mongering by providing huge military support to Ukraine, and by equipping Ukraine with more advanced and heavier military weapons. , they obviously follow the Kremlin’s policy of provocation.

In response to Russia’s attack on Ukraine, America and Western countries have imposed extensive sanctions against Moscow and sent billions of dollars in arms and military equipment to Kiev. Despite the unprecedented sanctions and the West’s efforts to isolate Russia, the Kremlin has managed to keep its economy afloat in the war.

The 10 non-permanent members of the Security Council are chosen by the United Nations General Assembly according to the participation of the members of this organization in maintaining international peace and security and other goals of the organization, as well as on the basis of fair geographical distribution.

In fact, the 10 elected members of the Security Council are elected by the General Assembly for a two-year term that begins on January 1. A member who leaves cannot be re-elected immediately.

Every year, the General Assembly elects five new members and replaces the older members whose terms expire on December 31.

This year, the United Nations General Assembly elected Pakistan, Panama, Somalia, Greece and Denmark as 5 new non-permanent members of the Security Council of this international organization for a two-year period, and Pakistan, Panama, Greece, Denmark and Somalia are members. They are the new non-permanent members of the UN Security Council, whose two-year term will begin on January 1 next year (2025).
The five permanent members of the Security Council include Russia, China, the United States, England, and France, who have veto power in this council. The main task of this council is to maintain international peace and security, which, with the unilateralism of some of these members, has deviated from its main mission and has been ineffective in many cases.
