But if none of the candidates get such a majority in the first round, a second vote will be taken on Friday of the following week. In the second round, only two of the candidates who got more votes in the first round participate, but if some of the candidates with more votes withdraw from the election, from among the rest, the two who got more votes in the first round will participate. They are nominated for re-election.” According to this principle, the president is elected by the absolute majority of the votes of the participants.

With the announcement of the final results of the presidential election in the first stage, Saeed Jalili and Masoud Mezikian entered the second stage of the election competition, and the second stage of the election will be held on Friday, July 15.
