North Korea test-fired a new tactical missile
North Korea’s Central News Agency wrote on Tuesday morning: Pyongyang on Monday tested a new tactical ballistic missile called “Hwasongfu-11 Da-4.5”, which is capable of carrying a very heavy warhead. The purpose of this test was to check the flight stability and accuracy of this missile.
The Korean Central News Agency added: “North Korea’s Missile Administration will conduct another test this month (July) to check the “explosive power” of the heavy warhead of this new missile.
Hwasongfu-11 or Hwasong-11 is a series of North Korean short-range ballistic missiles named K. An-23 and K. They are also known as N-24.
South Korea said on Monday that its northern neighbor had tested 2 ballistic missiles, the first of which was probably of its type. It was K-23 and flew about 600 km. According to this report, the second missile also flew 120 km, but finally it exploded and fell on the soil of North Korea.
