The US Secretary of Defense announced a new military aid package for Ukraine
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin says Washington will soon announce a $2.3 billion security aid package for Ukraine, which will include anti-tank weapons, interception equipment and ammunition for the Patriot air defense system.

According to the Associated Press, these statements were made while Ukrainian Defense Minister Rostam Umerov went to Washington today (Tuesday) and met with his American counterpart at the Pentagon.
The US Deputy Foreign Minister had previously said that the two sides are going to discuss bilateral defense cooperation, regional security issues and ways to strengthen defense partnership in this meeting.
These talks take place after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky again requested more weapons after the airstrikes in the Zaporizhia region.
It should be said that America has sent the largest amount of weapons to this country during the war in Ukraine. The administration of Joe Biden has sent more than 50 billion dollars of weapons and military equipment to Ukraine since 2022.
