Australian senator suspended for supporting Palestine
“Fateme Peyman”, an Australian senator, was suspended indefinitely from the Labor Party of this country, which is currently the ruling party, for supporting the independent state of Palestine.
He announced yesterday in a statement published on his personal page on one of the social networks: “Yesterday, the Prime Minister suspended my membership in the Labor Party indefinitely.”
Fateme Peyman added: “Since then, I have lost all communication with my fellow party members and have been excluded from meetings, committees, internal group discussions and bulletins.”
The vote on the recognition of the independent state of Palestine was held last Tuesday at the request of one of the parties in the Australian Parliament, and Mrs. Peyman voted yes against her party’s decision.
After that, the Australian Labor Party decided to suspend Ms. Peyman from being a member of this party.
This Afghan-born senator of the Australian Parliament has emphasized that he is once again ready to violate his party’s decision regarding Palestine.
