3 bills of the Knesset against UNRWA

Relief and job search agency for Palestinian refugees known as UNRWA affiliated to the United Nations is considered as one of the most important humanitarian organizations in the world in the affairs of Palestinians, so that a large part of aid to civilians in Gaza is carried out by this agency. However, with the aim of harming civilians, the Zionists seek to prevent the activities of humanitarian institutions. 

According to Al Jazeera, the committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the committee of the Ministry of War of the Zionist regime in the Knesset (Parliament of this regime) are considering the merger of 3 bills with the aim of harming UNRWA. 

Accordingly, the first bill has been prepared with the aim of banning the activities of UNRWA in the so-called Israeli territories. East Jerusalem is also among the places that Zionists call part of their land. This is despite the fact that many Palestinians are present in these places. 

The second bill is related to declaring UNRWA as a terrorist organization. The third bill also deprives UNRWA employees of legal immunity and privileges granted to UN staff in the occupied territories. This means that these UNRWA aid workers may be accused by the Zionists and prosecuted by the judicial authorities. 

Before this, the Zionist regime had made many baseless accusations against UNRWA. In one of the most important accusations, Tel Aviv accused UNRWA staff of involvement in the October 7 attack. Although the subsequent independent investigation showed that these accusations were based on falsehood, the same issue led to the termination of international financial aid to UNRWA. 

The powerful Zionist lobby in America, by pressuring the Congress and the White House, turned the cut off of aid to UNRWA into a law in this country.
