White House: Biden does not have dementia or Alzheimer’s

The White House spokesperson told reporters that Biden does not have dementia or Alzheimer's.

White House spokeswoman Karin Jean-Pierre said Tuesday that President Joe Biden has Alzheimer’s, a form of dementia, or another debilitating disease that affected his performance in last week’s debate with Donald Trump. He does not have to question the former president.

He said in a speech on Tuesday evening: “We understand the concerns about the president’s performance in the debate, but he has an unparalleled record of serving the American people.”

The White House spokesman added: “We have not withheld any information about Biden’s health and ability to perform his duties,” and Biden does not have dementia or Alzheimer’s.

Recently, American journalist Tucker Carlson questioned Biden’s performance in a tweet and wrote: “Biden is finished.” I bet.”

He continued to write: Many prominent Democrats have said that he suffered a brain injury. They can’t take that back. They have to remove him and they will. The only question is when they will do it. If they are smart, they will do it immediately. If Kamala is going to run, she might as well run for president first. Now the issue of Trump and his sentencing on July 11th is raised. Biden’s resignation makes this moment even more dangerous than it already is. At this point, Trump is not only the Republican nominee, but practically the presumptive president. If you’re going to put him in jail, it better be for a very serious crime that everyone agrees he committed. Otherwise, you risk destroying the system completely and permanently. We are facing a legal risk. The Democrats must withdraw.”

After incumbent President Joe Biden fell short of Democrats’ expectations in Thursday’s election debate, raising concerns about his mental state, a number of Democrats have floated proposals to potentially replace the president. The New York Times editorial board also asked Biden to withdraw from the presidential race “for the sake of serving his country”.
