The Ministry of Home Affairs emphasized that 104 people have contracted this disease in the occupied territories, and 68 of them have been taken to the hospital.
This disease has left eight casualties in the occupied territories. The situation in this area is so alarming that the Extraordinary Affairs Committee of the Zionist Parliament has held a meeting on this matter.
Most of those who have contracted this disease in the occupied territories live in the central regions and some of them are also based in the Sharon region.
West Nile virus is transmitted through mosquito bites and is generally transmitted to birds and then to other animals and humans. Those who have underlying diseases or cancer and whose immune system is weakened are more exposed to this virus.
The Ministry of Environment of the Zionist regime announced that it has identified the mosquito carrying this virus near Ben Gurion Airport.
