Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said on Sputnik radio that Zelensky (President of Ukraine) is nothing but a tool in the hands of the West and has no will, after Ukraine rejected the offer of the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on peace this Wednesday morning. .

According to the RTO report, he continued: When America chooses someone as its tool, what should we expect? Kiev’s talk of peace is nothing more than a cover for the West’s collective goal of inflicting what they call a strategic defeat on Russia.

The Russian official stated that Zelensky could have declared his will as someone who wants to change the fate of Ukraine, but the West admitted that they directly prevented Zelensky from conducting any negotiations.

Yesterday Viktor Orban, in a meeting with Zelensky in Kiev, proposed a temporary ceasefire in Ukraine to stop hostilities in preparation for peace talks with Russia. However, at a press conference after the meeting, Zelensky did not say anything about Orban’s proposal, but Igor Zhukova, his deputy in his office, later said that such plans cannot be settled. 

In this regard, Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman of the Kremlin, reacted to the Hungarian Prime Minister’s visit to Kiev yesterday and said that Orban is only performing his duties as the rotating president of the European Union Council. Moscow was not in contact with Budapest before his visit to Kiev.
