Taiwan’s claim about the seizure of a fishing boat by the Chinese coast guard

Taiwan claims that the Chinese Coast Guard seized a fishing boat belonging to the island and transferred it to a port in China.

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News According to Al Jazeera, the authorities of the autonomous island of Taiwan, claiming that a fishing boat belonging to this island was seized by China, asked the Beijing authorities to release this boat and its crew!

Taiwan’s coast guard claimed that the said Taiwanese boat was fishing for squid outside the waters controlled by Taipei in Kinmen when the Chinese coast guard boats entered it. And they seized it.

Kinmen is located near the Chinese cities of Xiamen and Quanzhou and is approximately five kilometers away from the mainland of China. The Chinese Coast Guard has confirmed that the Taiwanese boat was afloat during the fishing ban, and the island’s authorities have contacted Beijing to release the fishermen and the seized boat.

China considers the island of Taiwan as part of its territory and since William Lai took office in May, it has intensified the pressure on the island and the new president of Taiwan accused of “obvious separatism”.
