The possibility of Erdogan and Putin jointly inviting Bashar Assad to visit Türkiye

The Turkish president announced the possibility of him and Putin jointly inviting the Syrian president to visit Turkey and emphasized that only the armed groups are against the normalization of Turkish-Syrian relations.

reported by Mehr News Agency quoted by Anatolia News Agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that his country has extended a hand of friendship to the neighboring country of Syria and will continue to do so.

He added: We and Putin may send an invitation to Syrian President Bashar Assad to visit Turkey, and if Mr. Putin can visit Turkey, this will be the beginning of a new way. Only Saleh groups are against the normalization of relations between Türkiye and Syria.

The president of Turkey stated: We have not and will not allow the creation of a terrorist group in our region, and the peaceful atmosphere that will prevail in Syria will also allow millions of people to return to their country. It is necessary.

Erdogan said in relation to the violent incidents that took place in Kayseri province in the center of Turkey: We are against those who create chaos through an unpleasant incident and also We will not allow those who try to abuse it. We will not allow anyone in Türkiye to put themselves in the place of the police forces, the judiciary and the government.

He emphasized: The years that have passed in the field of developments in Syria have clearly shown everyone that a mechanism must be found for a permanent solution to the crisis in this country. It is necessary for Syria, whose infrastructure has been destroyed and whose people have been dispersed, to stand on its feet again and end the unstable situation.
