The commitment of the Chinese president to defend the territorial integrity of Tajikistan

Chinese President Xi Jinping, in a meeting with Tajik President Emomali Rahman, emphasized that Beijing firmly supports the territorial integrity of Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan.

According to the AFP report, on Friday, Xi visited Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, and met with Rahman. He said: China will continue to strengthen friendly cooperation and mutually beneficial relations with Tajikistan, and appreciate the country’s efforts to protect its national independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He firmly supports himself.

He also emphasized without mentioning the name of a specific actor or country: China strongly opposes any foreign interference in the internal affairs of Tajikistan under any pretext.

The President of China added: The mutual political trust of the two countries has always deepened due to the efforts of both sides. Regardless of international developments, China will always be a reliable friend, close brother and reliable partner of Tajikistan.

Rahman and Xi also talked about the promotion of diplomatic relations between the two sides. In addition, Xi awarded Rahman a badge of friendship. This badge is awarded to personalities who have promoted relations with China.

Shi previously visited Tajikistan in 2014 and 2019. China has tried to strengthen its diplomatic relations with the countries of Central Asia. Before traveling to Tajikistan, Xi had traveled to Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, to attend the meeting of the leaders of the member countries of the Shanghai Organization.
