The opposition of the Zionist regime to Hamas’s request for a ceasefire

The negotiating team of the Zionist regime announced that it opposed the request of the Hamas movement in the proposed ceasefire agreement.

David Barnia, the head of the Mossad intelligence service and the Israeli negotiation team regarding the Gaza ceasefire, who returned from a trip to Doha this Friday, told the mediators in Egypt and Qatar that Tel Aviv had requested Hamas to provide a written commitment regarding the continuation of the second phase of negotiations without restrictions. Sometimes it is against.

The Walla news website quoted Zionist officials and wrote that the request for a written commitment is the last obstacle before the start of negotiations on the exchange of prisoners in Gaza.

The Israel Hum newspaper wrote that the Israeli negotiating team returned to Tel Aviv after the end of this round of ceasefire negotiations and the exchange of Gaza prisoners in Qatar.

This is while the senior officials of the Zionist regime and the army commanders of this regime want Netanyahu’s cabinet to agree to a ceasefire in Gaza.

In this context, security sources of the Zionist regime reported that the person in charge of the Gaza prisoners case in the army of this regime has threatened to resign if Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is stoned against the current ceasefire efforts.

Many Zionist officials believe that Netanyahu is preventing the cessation of war and the establishment of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip under the pretext of continuing his rule.

Wallah continued, quoting Zionist officials, and wrote that the differences regarding Hamas’s response to the proposed ceasefire agreement are related to the duration of negotiations on the terms of the second stage, which should lead to the establishment of a lasting ceasefire.

Channel 13 of the Zionist regime reported that this regime opposed Hamas’s condition that this movement choose the names of Palestinian prisoners who are to be released during the implementation of the ceasefire.

This network reported that the Zionist regime wants to ensure its ability to resume the war if Hamas does not fulfill its commitments.

Regarding the negotiations of the Zionist regime’s team in Doha, Channel 13 of this regime reported that these negotiations continued for several hours and the Zionist regime believes that they may continue for several weeks.

After the return of the Israeli negotiating team from Doha, Netanyahu’s office announced that this team will resume the ceasefire negotiations next week, and there are still gaps between the negotiating parties.
