World Health Organization warning about the consequences of lack of fuel in Gaza
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, head of the World Health Organization, warned that if the severe lack of fuel in Gaza continues, there will be further disruption in the provision of health services in this area.
According to National News, the head of the World Health Organization warned that only 90,000 liters of fuel entered Gaza on Wednesday, while the health sector alone needs 80,000 liters of fuel. He said that fuel has already been directed to important hospitals such as Nasser Medical Complex, Al-Alam Hospital and Kuwait Field Hospital and some ambulances, but the loss of more hospitals would be catastrophic for Gaza.
This UN official again requested that the Rafah crossing be opened immediately and the continuous flow of fuel, food, water and medical equipment be allowed into Gaza.
After nearly 9 months of the Gaza war, large parts of this region are under a crippling siege of food, clean water and medicine. (Regime) Israel is accused of genocide at the Hague Tribunal and its case is under review. In its last session, this court ordered an immediate halt to the attack on Rafah; However, the said order has been clearly ignored until today.
