Syria and Iran will take steps to strengthen strategic relations

Bashar Assad, the president of Syria, in a message to Massoud Baznashr, congratulated him on his election as the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to the website of the Syrian presidency, this message reads: We congratulate you on the trust of the dear Iranian people, we congratulate the authorities and the people of Iran on the successful holding of the elections.

In this message, Bashar Assad wished success to the elected president of Iran and wished security and stability to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The President of Syria stated in this message to the doctors: Your always resistant country is one of the most important countries with which we want the peak of relations, because these deep-rooted relations have been established over decades of mutual respect and common understanding and fixed principles. And Iran and Syria have always adhered to these principles.

Bashar Assad emphasized: We will work with you to strengthen the strategic relations between Syria and Iran and to open new promising prospects for bilateral cooperation, and resistance will remain the same common policy that is on the way to protect the honor of our country. And we are taking steps to defend the interests of our nations.

Massoud Medjian became the elected president of the people by winning the majority of votes in the second stage of the 14th presidential election.
