Bangladesh floods claimed 8 lives

Bangladesh authorities have confirmed that 8 people have died and more than 2 million people have been injured due to heavy rains in this country that have caused floods.

According to the Guardian, the flood situation may worsen in the coming days, as the water in the Brahmaputra, one of the main waterways of Bangladesh, has reached above the danger level in some areas. 

Scientists say that climate change will make monsoon rains stronger and more irregular. 

Bangladesh, which has a population of 170 million, has experienced numerous floods in recent decades, but the climate crisis has caused rainfall to become more erratic and the glaciers in the Himalayas to melt.
