Lavrov: French elections do not represent democracy

In a speech, the Russian Foreign Minister rushed to the French elections and announced that the second round of the parliamentary elections was designed to manipulate the will of the voters.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Sunday that the parliamentary elections in France do not remind anyone of democracy because the second round of these elections is aimed at manipulating the will of the voters.

According to the Sputnik report, Lavrov said in this regard: The first round of the French parliamentary elections has ended, and it seems that the second round was specifically designed to manipulate the will of the voters in the first round, when some candidates withdrew their candidacy. they take and are convinced is designed to pave the way for conservatives or populists to win. This is not democracy, it is populist.

The Russian Foreign Minister added that if the results of the first round of the French Parliament are confirmed, very serious changes will occur in France. In this regard, polling stations opened today Sunday at 08:00 in France for the second round of historic legislative elections that may seal the victory of the far-right, amid doubts about its ability to achieve an absolute majority in the National Assembly.

Accordingly, following the countless margins of the French parliamentary elections, the lead of the National Front caused a widespread wave of violence in several major French cities, including Paris and Marseille.
