A delegation from the US Ministry of Defense met with the Prime Minister of Iraq
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency, according to the information base of the Iraqi Prime Minister, the Prime Minister of Iraq, Mohammad Shia al-Sudani, hosted a delegation from the US Ministry of Defense this Monday.
He welcomed Daniel Shapiro, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Middle East Affairs and his accompanying delegation.
In this meeting, the two sides discussed measures related to ending the mission of the international coalition to fight ISIS and activating bilateral relations between Baghdad and Washington.
Developments in the region and the continuation of attacks on Gaza were among the other axes of the meeting.
In this meeting, the Prime Minister of Iraq spoke about the sufferings of the Palestinian people, the difficulty in sending humanitarian aid and relief in the shadow of the severe siege, and the inability of the international community to fulfill its responsibilities in exerting pressure. He pointed to the cabinet of Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, to stop the genocide.
He also emphasized the necessity of taking a firm stance against attacks and preventing tensions, which can lead to the expansion of the scope of conflicts.
The American official also emphasized the role of Iraq in reducing tensions in the region.
