Greece, Bulgaria and Romania agree to create a military corridor in Eastern Europe

Greece, Bulgaria and Romania agreed to create a military corridor on NATO's eastern flank.

Greece Defense Minister Nikos Dendias said that a document was signed on the sidelines of the NATO meeting in Washington, according to which the three countries Greece, Bulgaria and Romania agreed to create a military corridor on NATO’s eastern flank.

Greek newspaper Kathimerini wrote that the purpose of signing this document is to ensure more effective movement of personnel and military equipment inside and outside of Europe.

According to this newspaper, this plan includes the integration of four ports and their infrastructure that connects the cities of Varna, Constanta, Thessaloniki and Alexandroupolis.

It was previously announced that the largest NATO military base in Europe will be established in Romania soon.

Since European countries do not have the ability to directly confront Russia militarily, they have limited themselves to imposing economic sanctions against this country. NATO member countries in Eastern Europe have started actions to confront Russia. These actions have resulted in a negative reaction from Russia.
