The bodies of 60 martyrs were discovered in Shujaiyeh neighborhood of Gaza

Palestinian Civil Defense Agency announced that after the retreat of the Zionist forces from Shujaiyeh neighborhood in Gaza City, Palestinian doctors pulled out more than 60 bodies from the rubble.

According to West Asia Eye, Mahmoud Bazal, spokesman for the Palestinian Civil Defense, said in a press conference: “Dozens of bodies are still trapped under the rubble, and the exact number of martyrs is not known.” He said that the occupying forces destroyed more than 85% of the residential buildings in this neighborhood and Shujaiyeh is no longer suitable for living.

The Israeli army announced on Wednesday that it has ended its military operations in Shojaiye neighborhood after a two-week invasion. At the same time, the Palestinian Civil Defense announced the vast amount of destruction and said Shujaiyeh has become a “ghost city”.

Israel has faced international condemnation amid its brutal invasion of Gaza, ignoring a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire. According to local health authorities, more than 38 thousand 300 Palestinians have been martyred so far, most of them women and children, and nearly 88 thousand 300 others have been injured.
