Sullivan announced “progress” in the Gaza ceasefire talks

The White House National Security Adviser says that "progress" has been made in the Gaza ceasefire negotiations and the exchange of prisoners, but it cannot be guaranteed yet.

Jake Sullivan, White House National Security Adviser, told reporters about the ongoing Gaza ceasefire negotiations in Doha: “We see progress and the possibility of reaching an agreement. Obviously, that cannot be guaranteed as there are many details that need to be worked out”.
According to Anatoly, this White House official continued: “While I am talking to you, our teams are in the region. Having examined many of these details, we think that the remaining issues can and should be resolved.” He went on to say that the signs from the current negotiations were “more positive” than the negotiations in recent months.

Gaza ceasefire negotiations have been resumed and yesterday a four-way meeting was held in Doha with the presence of the head of the CIA, the Prime Minister of Qatar, the head of the Egyptian Intelligence Organization and the head of the Mossad. The Washington Post today (Thursday) quoted informed sources as saying that an agreement on the Gaza war is close and stated that “the framework of the provisions on the Gaza war has been agreed upon” and negotiations are underway on how to implement the agreement.

However, contrary to the claims of the Washington Post, the Hamas movement announced a few hours ago that the Zionist regime is pursuing a time-wasting policy with the aim of defeating this round of negotiations as in the past. At the same time, “Osame Hamdan”, one of the leaders of the Hamas movement, told Al-Arabi: “The Israeli side does not respond to the efforts of the mediators and threatens this current round of negotiations.”
