Erdogan: The possibility of a direct conflict between NATO and Russia is worrying
reported by Mehr News Agency quoted by Anatolia news agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in an interview with “Newsweek” magazine about the war between Russia and Ukraine: “There is no doubt that the possibility of a direct conflict between NATO and Russia is worrisome.”
The president of Turkey continued in this regard: Any action that can lead to this result should be consciously avoided. We believe that we should address the issue with a solution-oriented and measured approach.
Emphasizing the importance of the fight against terrorism, Recep Tayyip Erdogan said: Our basic expectation from our allies is to adopt a similar approach in the fight against terrorism.
He pointed to the importance of the NATO alliance and added: We do not think that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will replace NATO; Also, we do not consider BRICS as a substitute for any other organization.
Erdogan noted: The thoughts of some groups about the formation of a terrorist state in the region are illusions and this issue will never come true.
