Sanchez: NATO should have the same approach in Ukraine in Gaza

According to Mehr News Agency to Quoting from Anatolia news agency, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, who is in Washington to participate in the NATO summit, asked NATO member countries to adopt the same unity and approach in Gaza as in Ukraine.

According to the Spanish media, citing sources from the country’s prime minister, Sanchez emphasized in his speech at the NATO summit, which was held without the presence of journalists: We cannot be forced to apply the standards. He accused the duo of undermining our support for Ukraine.

Pedro Sanchez added in this regard: On the contrary, we want to adopt the same approach and unity in Gaza as we did against Russia in Ukraine.

This is while the European country of Spain joined the supporters of the South African genocide case against the occupying forces in Gaza in the International Court of Justice in recent weeks.

Previously, Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albarez said in a media statement that Madrid will join the South African genocide case against Israel’s actions in Gaza at the International Court of Justice.

Albarz stated in a news conference that we made this decision considering the continuation of military operations in Gaza.

It should be said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain announced in a statement on Friday that it has submitted an official petition to join South Africa’s complaint against the Zionist regime to the Hague Tribunal regarding the genocide in Gaza.

At the end of December 2023, South Africa filed a complaint against the Zionist regime to the International Court of Justice for allegedly violating the agreement on the prohibition of the crime of genocide.

Then a number of countries including Turkey, Colombia and Nicaragua and a number of other countries wanted to join this case.
