Biden mistakenly called “Harris” Trump’s deputy
U.S. President Joe Biden made another of his worst blunders in a press conference on the final day of the NATO meeting in Washington.
In this press conference, Biden introduced Kamala Harris, his deputy, as Trump’s deputy.
Asked if he had any concerns about Harris’ ability to defeat former President Donald Trump, he said: “Look, if I didn’t think he was qualified to be president, I would have chosen Vice President Trump as my running mate.” I wouldn’t!
Biden assured that no European leaders had approached him to ask him not to run, adding that he believed he was “the most qualified person to do so”.
In February of this year, former special counsel Robert Hoare, in a scathing report, accused Biden of forgetting important events such as the day his son Bo died. According to Forbes, the text of the interview also shows that Biden forgets his tenure during the presidency of former President Barack Obama and asks him: “When did I finish being vice president?”.
This is not the first time that Biden has been confused about names and people. In February, the US president said he had spoken to French President Francois Mitterrand, who died in 1996. It is obvious that this politician confused him with Macron.
Joe Biden has broken all the age records of American presidents and is the oldest at 81 years old. However, he is not disappointed and is ready to participate in the 2024 presidential election.
