According to Reuters, verbal gaffes are not uncommon in the political career of Biden, who also stuttered as a child, but amid the unfortunate results of the debate with his Republican rival, Donald Trump, will draw more attention to his mental weakness. did.

Biden’s most important gaffe was that he confused Volodymyr Zelensky with “Vladimir Putin”. “And now I want to give it to the president of Ukraine, who has as much courage as his will,” he said when he wanted to introduce the president of Ukraine to sit behind the podium. Ladies and gentlemen: President Putin! And then, trying to correct his speech, he said, “Putin, I want to beat Putin. [I said this], because I am very focused on defeating Putin. President Zelensky”. Biden also confused his running mate with Trump, and in response to another question about his trust in Kamala Harris, he said: “Look, if Trump wasn’t qualified for the presidency, I wouldn’t have chosen him as my running mate”! In another case, Biden used the words “Chief of Staff” and “Commander-in-Chief” interchangeably. 

In recent days, many media have reported that after the US President’s weak debate against Trump, Biden’s old allies are turning their backs on him. Nancy Pelosi, former speaker of the US House of Representatives and one of the most influential Democrats, has privately told other party members that Biden will not win this fall’s election and should step down. In fact, he has told Democrats that they must do whatever it takes to secure the re-election of a member of the party as president, even if it means Biden stepping down. However, Pelosi advised these members to wait until the end of the NATO meeting and the departure of foreign officials out of respect for Biden and national security. It is said that some members of the Democratic Party have already written their draft statements to request Biden’s resignation and are ready to publish it as soon as the meeting ends.
