Netanyahu’s new requests and stonewalling on the way to negotiations

An official in Israel's negotiating team says Netanyahu is making new demands that could delay the deal by weeks.

A senior Zionist official who is present in the Gaza ceasefire negotiations admitted that Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, has put forward new demands and thereby disrupts the agreement process.

According to The Times of Israel, the official said that Netanyahu is insisting that an enforcement mechanism be considered to prevent Hamas from returning to northern Gaza. He further pointed out that now is a critical moment for the Zionist prisoners, because an agreement can be reached within two weeks and they can be returned home, but “the prime minister’s insistence to prevent Hamas from entering northern Gaza can stop the negotiations for weeks and may After that, there will be no one alive who wants to return home.”

According to Vala news site, Netanyahu raised this issue in the meeting with the negotiating team on Thursday night and the members of this team warned him that they are against the new conditions and such a demand is not possible. However, Netanyahu emphasized that he insists on this issue.

Hebrew media say that it is not clear why the Prime Minister of the regime has now thought of making such a request. Meanwhile, Channel 12 of the Zionist regime TV reported, citing sources, that he is probably trying to delay the agreement, because some members of his cabinet have pledged to leave the cabinet if the agreement is fulfilled. This can lead to the dissolution of the cabinet.
