Demonstrations in more than 40 Moroccan cities in support of the people of Gaza

Moroccan activists held demonstrations in support of Gaza and against the occupation regime’s aggression against the Gaza Strip since October 7 and the killing and forced displacement of Palestinians in dozens of different cities of this country. Starting from Friday prayers, demonstrations were held in the cities of Rabat, Morocco, Al-Nazour, Fez, Meknes, Jersif, Tetovan, Agadir, Vojdeh, Sela. “Abi al-Jaad”, “Bani Melal”, “Zayo”, “Shefshawun”, “Izmur”, “Al-Rashidiyeh” and dozens of big cities of this country did it.

They chanted slogans in support of Palestinian resistance against the Zionist occupiers and asked the Moroccan authorities to review the agreements to normalize relations with the occupying regime.

The Zionist regime and Morocco, which had stopped relations with each other since 2000, signed an agreement on December 10, 2022 under the supervision of the United States to resume diplomatic relations, which was opposed by institutions, parties and popular groups.

The participants in this demonstration also chanted slogans condemning the genocide of Palestinians and the targeting of civilians in Gaza, the policy of starvation, the efforts to forcibly relocate the residents of the Gaza Strip, the international silence and the Arab countries, and asked the international community to take responsibility in to take responsibility for the protection of civilians.

For the 40th consecutive week, at the request of the non-governmental delegation supporting the issues of the Islamic Ummah, Moroccans are witnessing massive gatherings almost every day to declare solidarity with the Palestinian nation and to request an end to the Zionist regime’s airstrikes on Gaza, to lift the blockade and to provide aid. In this regard, Mohammad Al-Riyahi, a member of the head office of this Moroccan delegation, noted that the people of Morocco are coming to the streets to express their opposition to the heinous killing of civilians, innocent children and women in Gaza, as well as solidarity with the Palestinians, and by setting up marches, protest gatherings. , and the seminars condemn the genocidal war in Palestine.

He further added: We honor the heroic deeds of the Palestinian nation and their brave resistance and we stand by the Palestinian nation and condemn the weakness of the Arab countries and the partiality of the Western countries and the United States and declare that until the end of this war and the victory of the nation We will continue to demonstrate, support and support Palestine.

Since October 7, 2023, when the Zionist regime began its devastating attacks against the Gaza Strip with the support of the United States, tens of thousands of Palestinians, most of whom were women and children, were martyred and injured in these attacks, and the infrastructure of the Gaza Strip was extensively destroyed and An unprecedented human disaster has occurred in this region.

As a result of these attacks and restrictions imposed by this regime and due to the severe lack of food, water, medicine and fuel, the residents of the Gaza Strip, especially in the north of the Gaza Strip, are on the brink of famine, and the lives of children and the elderly in this area are at risk.
