Somali terrorists were killed in a clash with the Kenyan police
Northeastern region of Kenya reported the death of 5 members of Somalia’s al-Shabaab movement in a clash with Kenyan police in the area near the border of Somalia and Kenya.
According to the Al-Mayadeen report, the Kenyan police announced that the number of dead among armed people may increase and also emphasized that 4 members of this terrorist group were seriously injured.
The clash between armed men and the Kenyan police took place in the border area that is usually used by these groups.
Earlier this month, the terrorist group al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for a suicide car bomb attack that targeted a Djibouti military base attached to the African Union Transitional Mission in Atmis in central Somalia.
For years, the terrorist group al-Shabaab of Somalia has been carrying out attacks on Kenyan soil, targeting civilians and Kenyan security personnel, and has caused significant human losses.
It is worth noting that a massive attack by the central government of Somalia against al-Shabaab was announced in the summer of 2022, and the Somali army was able to regain control of large areas in the center of this country.
