The reaction of Ivanka Trump and her brothers to the assassination attempt on their father

Ivanka Trump, the eldest daughter of former US President Donald Trump, broke her silence following the assassination attempt on her father. 

The eldest daughter of the former US president wrote on her X account after the July 13 rally shooting in Pennsylvania: Thank you for your love and prayers for my father and the other victims of the senseless violence today in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Ivanka added: “I am grateful to the Secret Service and other law enforcement officers for their swift and decisive action today.” I continue to pray for our country. Father, I love you today and always.

Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, the older sons of the former US president, also shared messages on social networks. “He will never stop fighting to save America,” Don Jr. wrote alongside a photo of his father with a bloody ear and fist in the air after the shooting. Eric posted the same image on X and wrote: “This is the fighter America needs!”

The 45th president of the United States wrote on Truth Social that he was hit by a bullet that pierced the top of his right ear. 

Trump wrote: “I immediately knew there was a problem when I heard the buzz, the shot, and immediately felt the bullet rip through the skin.” There was a lot of bleeding, and then I realized what had happened.

Trump canceled his rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday because of the shooting. The footage shows the politician being led away by security guards with a bloody ear. Trump later said he was injured in the ear and lost a lot of blood.

The US Secret Service said it captured the suspect, who fired about nine shots at the scene. In this shooting, one of Trump’s supporters was killed and two others were seriously injured.
