A Russian university professor assessed Donald Trump's chances of winning the election after the assassination attempt.

Sergei Rogoff, scientific director of the USA-Canada Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and a member of the Russian International Relations Council (RIAC), evaluated the chances of Donald Trump, the US presidential candidate, to win the election after the assassination attempt on his life. did 

Rogoff noted: According to recent polls, US President Joe Biden periodically surpasses Trump in ratings. However, according to this professor, as a result of this incident, Trump’s rating will increase.

Rogov added: “The Republican Party Congress will be held soon, where Trump will be officially nominated for the presidency; Therefore, all this strengthens the prospect of his victory in the presidential elections.”

Earlier, Daniel Davis, a retired American army officer, called the assassination attempt on the former American president the beginning of a very dangerous period in this country and the world.

Former US President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The footage shows how the former US president interrupted his speech and grabbed his ear before lying on the ground. Trump was hidden by Secret Service agents and then left immediately.

The shooter shot from the roof of a manufacturing plant located 125 meters from the stage where Trump was speaking. He was killed by a Secret Service sniper and an AR-15 rifle was found next to him.

Representatives of the Republican and Democratic parties, as well as a number of world politicians, condemned the shooting in Pennsylvania.
