NBC News, citing a White House official, reported that Jill Biden, the first lady of the United States and the wife of President Joe Biden, made a phone call with Melania Trump, the wife of Donald Trump.

According to a Reuters report, this happened a day after former US President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt during his campaign rally in Pennsylvania.
