Cutts’ conversation with his English counterpart about the Gaza ceasefire
Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz asked David Lammy, his British counterpart, to inform the Hamas movement that without the release of Israeli prisoners, a cease-fire will not be established in the Gaza Strip.
“Britain and the world must make it clear to Hamas that there will be no ceasefire [in the Gaza Strip] without the release of Israeli prisoners,” Cutts told Lamy. According to him, “If Hamas wants the countries of the world to put pressure on Israel to conclude a cease-fire agreement in Gaza, then “there will be no deal.”
Dimitri Gendelman, adviser to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, told the TASS reporter on July 15 that the Hamas movement should take the next step in the negotiations on the Gaza agreement plan with the support of US President Joe Biden.
He added: “They (Hamas) must accept the terms of the agreement supported by the United States.” Israel has not deviated a millimeter from the plan supported by President Biden, and the Hamas movement tried to make 29 changes to the document, but the Israeli prime minister “rejected these changes”.
