Cooperation between Ukraine and the Czech Republic to build a factory for the production of military ammunition
Western countries, led by America, are trying to help Ukraine to counter the Russian attack. Although initially these aids were related to the sending of weapons and financial aid, but recently the western policy has turned towards making Kiev self-sufficient in the production of weapons.
According to the Reuters news agency, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denis Shmihal, announced today (Tuesday) the agreement between the state-owned Ukroboro Service company and the Silier and Bluet ammunition production company, affiliated to the Czech Republic, to build a factory in Ukraine for the purpose of producing ammunition.
The Czech Republic is one of Ukraine’s main backers in its war with Russia and is now leading an initiative that has provided Kiev with hundreds of thousands of rounds of ammunition from around the world.
Ukraine’s Prime Minister, without mentioning more details about this agreement, announced: Along with all the agreements made in the field of defense industry, we are witnessing the construction of new factories inside the country in order to supply the ammunition needed in the war.
Czech Republic has agreed to transfer the machinery required for the production of small caliber ammunition to Ukraine and to produce these weapons inside this country.
Kiev announced the receipt of more than 50,000 rounds of war ammunition during the initiative of the Czech Republic this year.
