Russia and Ukraine managed to agree on the exchange of prisoners

The Ministry of Defense of Russia announced today, Wednesday, that as a result of the agreement made with the mediation of the UAE, Moscow and Kiev will exchange prisoners.

According to the RT report, the Ministry of Defense of Russia announced that 95 Russian soldiers will be exchanged with Ukrainian prisoners in this agreement. The ministry did not disclose any other information.

Earlier, Dimitri Lubinets, the human rights commissioner in the Ukrainian parliament, announced on Sunday that Ukraine is trying to implement a big plan to exchange prisoners with Russia with the mediation of the UAE side.

He pointed to the announcement of the readiness of the United Arab Emirates to mediate in this field, and emphasized: We can announce this issue publicly now.

Not long ago, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced in early June that 1,348 Russian soldiers and officers were captured in Ukraine, and 6,465 Ukrainian soldiers are also in Russian captivity.
