Putin: It is necessary to expand the digital ruble

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted by Tass, Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday emphasized the need for widespread implementation of the digital ruble in various sectors of the economy.

The President of Russia said that it is important for Russia not to miss the opportunity and timely adjust the legal framework and regulations related to the circulation of digital financial assets.

Putin stressed that Russia should develop the infrastructure related to the digital ruble and create conditions for the circulation of digital assets, both within the country and in relations with create foreign partners.

The Russian president called digital currencies promising, which are gaining increasing popularity at the global level.

Last year, the President of Russia signed a law regarding the digital ruble in Russia as the third form of the country’s national currency.
