Although in the first months of the war, with the mediation of Qatar and Egypt, some of these prisoners were exchanged, but now more than a hundred Zionist prisoners have been in the custody of Hamas for 9 months, and many of them have died in Tel Aviv attacks during this time. are Now there is a deep divide around the issue of prisoners in the occupied territories. 

According to Al Jazeera, Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s statements about prisoners have increased the intensity of public anger against him. Netanyahu announced in the cabinet meeting: There is no reason to be so worried. It is true that our prisoners are suffering in the prison of Hamas, but they are not dying!

These words were enough to create a wave of heavy criticism of Netanyahu in the occupied territories. By attacking him, the family of the Zionist prisoners asked the Prime Minister of this regime to immediately provide further explanations about his statements. 

The family of the Zionist prisoners issued a statement while condemning Netanyahu’s statements and emphasized: These statements of the Prime Minister not only hurt the hearts of the prisoners’ families deeply, but also are incorrect in terms of compliance with reality and are dangerously irresponsible. 

This statement adds: The bitter reality is undeniable. Prisoners have already been killed in Hamas prison. More prisoners are dying as we speak. 

The Zionist army does not have accurate statistics on the number of Zionist prisoners remaining in Hamas prison. However, it is estimated that there are at least 120 prisoners in Hamas custody, of which at least 42 have lost their lives.
