Arrest of 99 illegal immigrants on the coast of Türkiye

report Mehr News Agency, citing Anatoly, the Turkish Coast Guard arrested 99 illegal immigrants on the shores of Didim region in Aydin province in the west of this country on Saturday.

The Coast Guard Command announced in a statement that the Coast Guard teams in the region were able to identify a yacht with illegal immigrants on it.

The statement added that Coast Guard teams initially stopped the boat carrying the illegal immigrants. According to the Turkish Coast Guard, out of 99 detained illegal immigrants, 34 are children.

After completing the legal procedures, these immigrants were handed over to Aydin Immigration Department.

During this operation, two people were arrested on charges of human trafficking and presented to Turkish judicial authorities.
