The feedback of Tehran Times report on “Amia” anniversary in international media
Mehr News, International Group: On the 30th anniversary of the “Amia” explosion, with the publication of an article in Tehran Times, Argentina was warned that Iran will not leave the hostile policies of Buenos Aires unanswered. This article has received a lot of reaction from the media of this country.
This case is related to the incident of the Jewish Center of Argentina (AMIA), which was blown up in a bombing in 1994, during which 86 people were killed. Despite the fact that the Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly condemned the “Amia” explosion in Buenos Aires, the highest criminal court of Argentina on April 11 (April 23, 1403) once again repeated its false claims about Iran’s role in this incident.
In this ruling, the Argentine Court of Appeal claimed that Iran and Lebanon’s Hezbollah carried out the attack with a van full of explosives that killed 85 and injured 300 other citizens of Jewish origin in Argentina have done so.
This court also claimed that the mentioned attack on July 18, 1994 (July 27, 1373) was carried out in retaliation for Argentina’s withdrawal from the nuclear cooperation agreement with Iran!
In a part of the Tehran Times article, referring to the statement of the Presidential Palace of Argentina, in which the Palestinian Islamic Resistance (Hamas) is called a terrorist group (!), : By highlighting the good relations between Hamas and the Islamic Republic, the Argentine Presidential Palace has emphasized its baseless claims that Iran was involved in the attacks against the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires and the bombing of the Jewish Center of Argentina (AMIA).
In the rest of this report, we read: As the thirtieth anniversary of the Amiya explosion approaches, it seems that a new development is on the verge of a new development after three decades of ambiguity and deviation in the case. We are a crime. A number of experts have described the crimes of the Amiya case as “self-mutilation” of the Jews, while others have described it as “revenge and punishment by the Menem government against the Zionists of Argentina.” The way of managing the Amiya case in Argentina and the execution of justice against the real perpetrators of this terrorist act, like other cases in which politicians or political movements are involved, has become a closed secret. The process of dealing with this case has taken more than 30 years, and in this long time, none of the technical investigation procedures of the police have led to a reliable result. According to the special prosecutor of the “Amiya” case, this case has millions of pages, but the available documents not only do not help clarify its hidden corners, but also add to its ambiguity and complexity!
Argentine media have highlighted the final part of this article and published articles about it regardless of the main content. “La Nacion” newspaper, publishing the final part of this report, wrote: a serious threat from the Iranian media against the Milli government; “At the right time, Tehran will make Iran’s enemies regret their enmity with Iran”
Buenos Aires Times also went to this report with this headline and wrote: The controversial Tehran Times article warned Argentina about “enmity with Iran”.
The newspaper “Ambito Financiero” printed in Buenos Aires also answered what it called a threat with a “threat”! This newspaper quoted Luis Petri, the Minister of Defense of Argentina, who wrote that “no one threatens Argentina”
TV/online network “C5N” based in Argentina wrote: Iran, through an article in Tehran Times, the approach of Javier Milli, the president of Argentina, towards “the front line of the anti-scenario” Irani questioned the international Zionist network. This happened after “Casa Rosada” (Presidential Palace of Argentina) declared Hamas a “terrorist organization”.
“Cadena del Mar/ cadenadelmar” claimed that Tehran Times is the mouthpiece of the Iranian government and wrote: Tehran Times published a very harsh article in which it claims that “without a doubt Tehran has not forgotten the policies of Buenos Aires and we will impose our own game at the right time and place.”
Efe, a Spanish-language news agency based in Madrid, has also published an article in response to this report with the title: The Argentine government responded to Iran’s threat; “No one threatens Argentina”
Some other Argentinian media, including elcancillerm and mediosred, also echoed and reacted to the controversial Tehran Times article by publishing similar reports.
