The Kremlin spokesman emphasized that the issue of facilitating consultations between Türkiye and Syria is on Russia's agenda.

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News quoted by Sputnik website, “Dmitry Peskov”, the spokesman of the Kremlin on Tuesday, in response to whether Moscow is ready to hold a meeting between the presidents of Turkey and Syria, said: Russia is the issue It has considered the facilitation of consultations between Turkish and Syrian authorities at different levels.

Earlier, a well-informed source stated that the first meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Syrian counterpart Bashar Assad after It is going to be held in Moscow next August.

According to this source, Russian President Vladimir Putin may be mediating the negotiations; It is also possible that “Mohammed al-Sudani”, the president of Iraq, will also be invited to attend this meeting. He further stated that commercial issues will be the main discussion of this meeting.

It should be said that Bashar Assad and Erdogan have already declared their goodwill to establish relations and start talks.

Also, according to Putin’s representative Lavrentiev, Russia has presented a road map for the normalization of relations between Ankara and Damascus to both sides, and the priorities of this road map are as follows. : Solving the problem of the control of the Syrian government over all the lands of this country, guaranteeing the security of the common borders of the two countries and preventing the possibility of border conflicts and the infiltration of terrorists.
