Türkiye welcomes the agreement between the Palestinian groups
reported by Mehr News Agency quoted by Anatolia News Agency, the Turkish Foreign Ministry welcomed the agreement reached between the Palestinian political groups in Beijing on Tuesday by publishing a statement.
In this statement, emphasizing the importance of such an agreement in view of the existing conditions and the continuation of heavy attacks by the occupiers of Jerusalem on the Gaza Strip and the increase in violence in East Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank, it is stated : We expect that the measures included in the agreement reached in Beijing will be implemented and the efforts made to create political unity in Palestine will come to fruition.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey also praised China’s efforts in the process of reaching an agreement between Palestinian political groups.
It should be said that Mao Ning, the spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, announced today the signing of an agreement between Palestinian groups, including Fatah and Hamas, in Beijing to form a temporary national unity government.
Representatives of the mentioned movements will meet with the Chinese media after the 3-day meetings in this country.
Representatives of 14 Palestinian groups are supposed to attend this media meeting. Palestinian groups held meetings in Beijing from July 21 to 23 to discuss the internal situation of Palestine.
