7 people were arrested in Belgium on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack
According to what the Federal Public Prosecutor of Belgium reported, seven people were arrested on Thursday in this country on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack. These arrests were made during 14 operations throughout Belgium.
According to al-Quds al-Arabi, Arnaud Dutermont, spokesman for the public prosecutor, told AFP: “At the moment we do not have any details about the locations or the targets, but what was found leads us to believe that an attack was being prepared.”
This is while the terrorist and takfiri group ISIS threatened different countries by releasing messages and videos on the eve of the 2024 Olympics. Due to the increasing concern of the European security authorities on the eve of the Paris Olympics about the increase in the strength and extent of the presence of ISIS in Western Europe, nearly two-thirds of the arrests related to this terrorist group in Europe in the past 9 months have been related to teenagers.
