Harris surpassing Trump among the young American generation
A new poll by the Axios news website shows that Kamala Harris, the possible Democratic candidate, is more popular among young American voters than Joe Biden.
This survey shows that in the competition between Biden and Donald Trump among voters aged 18 to 34, Biden could win 53% and Trump 47% of the votes. At the same time, in the race between Harris and Trump, Harris can get 60% and Trump 40% of the votes.
Overall, 45% of young Americans say they have a very favorable or somewhat favorable opinion of Harris. Meanwhile, 33% had this opinion about Biden and 34% about Trump.
Experts say Harris, the Democratic front-runner, needs the votes of Generation Z (age group between 18 and 27) to defeat Donald Trump.
According to the statistics provided by the “Pew” research center, the American Generation Z played an important role in Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 election and they led him by 20 points.
