Netanyahu: I thank Biden for supporting Israel

Before starting the conversation with Joe Biden, the Israeli Prime Minister thanked him for his "public service and support for Israel" during his tenure.

US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu began their talks behind closed doors, and according to White House officials, Biden intends to use this conversation to pressure Netanyahu to reach a ceasefire agreement. Gaza should use it.

According to Anatolia news agency, Netanyahu told reporters that he is “eagerly” waiting for today’s conversation and future cooperation with Biden. While Biden is preparing to end his career, Netanyahu said: “From a Jewish Zionist to a Zionist “Irish-American, I want to thank you for 50 years of public service and support for Israel.”

Joe Biden had previously said that he is a “Zionist” and does not necessarily have to be a Jew in announcing his support for the Zionist regime.

Netanyahu’s visit to the White House is his first since Biden took office in 2021. Meanwhile, international pressure continues for a ceasefire and an end to the war that has left nearly 40,000 martyrs. The war has greatly affected Biden’s popularity and increased criticism of him. For this reason, experts say that the American president is trying to complete the agreement regarding Gaza in order to record it as an achievement of his presidency and to pave the way for his successor, Kamala Harris.

A senior Biden administration official has told reporters that the “deal is in the final stages” and negotiating officials are discussing its implementation steps.
