Axios: Biden’s withdrawal from the presidential race surprised Trump’s headquarters

Trump's top adviser admitted that Trump's staff was surprised at how quickly they "got rid of Joe Biden."

The decision of Joe Biden, the head of the White House, to withdraw from the presidential race, surprised Donald Trump’s campaign. Axios writes about this by quoting sources in the Republican Party.

Trump’s team usually reacts quickly to campaign news. However, in the case of Biden’s statement to withdraw from the partnership, the former president’s staff took two hours to react to the American leader’s decision.

Jason Miller, a senior adviser to the Trump team, noted that the staff was surprised at how quickly they “got rid of Joe Biden.” Miller expected the president to drop out of the race a week later because he was trying to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

At the same time, Trump staff were not surprised that Vice President Kamala Harris replaced Biden in the race.

Previously, US President Joe Biden announced that he will no longer run for office and supported Harris as the Democratic candidate. He himself stated that he got enough votes from the party members to get the nomination. The American president himself has not yet explained the reasons for his decision. Biden’s physical condition and mental health are the most important reasons that forced Biden to resign.
