The FBI wants to interview Trump
CNN quotes an American official as saying that the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) is seeking an interview with Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, as part of the investigation into the assassination attempt on his life.
The FBI also said in a statement yesterday that investigators are continuing to examine bullet fragments and other evidence related to the assassination.
Earlier, FBI director Christopher Wray raised questions about whether Trump was hit by a bullet or shrapnel during the assassination attempt. During a hearing in Washington before the House Judiciary Committee, the director of the FBI said that it is not clear what exactly caused the damage to Trump’s ear.
After the shooting incident that happened during an election speech, Trump said on his social network that he was wounded by a bullet and then published a note from Ronnie Jackson, the former White House doctor, about his recovery. However, the former US president has not yet allowed the doctors who treated him to speak publicly about his condition.
